A-team

During my working years managing engineering professionals I was blessed to have “A-teams”. When managers screw up (and I did plenty), the “A team” always did whatever was needed to get us through the crisis, many which I created with my own errors, omissions and shortcomings. When I panicked, “A-team” people were there to calm me down and reassure me that “we got this”. They always “had my back”.

“A-team” people are bright and capable people with positive, “can do” attitudes. When innovation is required, they’re innovative. When hard, and sometimes monotonous, work was required, I could always count on them to get the job done, no matter what it took.

“A-team” people are a manager’s gold. I am very grateful for my “A-teams”:

stupid TV commercials

Think about it.

Companies spend millions on stupid TV commercials: insurance companies, car companies, cell phone and ISP providers, cable and satellite TV, beer companies and many, many more. 

What about this 

would prompt anyone to buy insurance from Progressive? the "price gun"? Progressive's TV commercials are an insult to our intelligence. It doesn't make sense that a company that's spending millions for stupid TV commercials would be able to give us cheaper insurance than one that isn't. Not only are the commercials stupid, but they're annoying too. Wake up, people!

That brings me to my next subject: stupid TV programs...

Family questions sentence 'affluenza' judge gave their teen

The same judge who sentenced a 16 yr. old with court-appointed lawyer to 20 years in prison for killing one person DUI sentences 16 year old "affluenza" Ethan Couch, who killed four people DUI, to 10 years probation. This is NOT equal justice under the law! The judge may not be "a bad person"; but, the judge is a bad judge--making a mockery of our justice system.
